Daniel Lanois’ Black Dub features Brian Blade on drums, Daryl Johnson on bass, and Trixie Whitley adding vocals, keys and more percussion. The band released their first single I Believe In You in 2010 followed by their self titled debut Black Dub later that year. Their music style has been described as -infused . In conclusion, it's pretty awesome.

Leroy Hutson

One of the most underrated soul producers of the '70s, multi-talented producer/singer/songwriter/instrumentalist Leroy Hutson began his career in various vocal groups around his hometown of Newark, NJ, in the '60s, but saw his early success as a co-writer for Howard University roommate Donny Hathaway's 1970 hit single "The Ghetto." Hutson would later replace Curtis Mayfield in 1971 as the lead singer in the Impressions and stayed with them until 1973, when he followed in Mayfield's footsteps and launched his own solo career.

The Emotions are a Doo-Wop group formed in Brooklyn, NY in 1958 by Joe Favale and Tony Maltese. Their most successful singles were "Echo" and "Story Untold" 3. The Emotions are an all female, soul, disco, and R&B singing group, that was most successful during the late-1970s and 1980s. The group was formed in their hometown of Chicago, Illinois in 1968, and originally consisted of the three Hutchinson sisters, all the children of Joseph and Lillian Hutchinson.

Lightyear

Lightyear were a hugely popular ska punk band who blended elements of ska, pop, hardcore, punk and occaisionally hip hop who were probably best known for their intense live shows that regulaly saw members of the band (and unfortunately crowd) getting naked. Hailing from Derby and previously split up, they reformed briefly for the summer of 2006 in which they played a whirlwind UK tour which included both the Reading and Leeds carling festivals.
