Tiger Choir are a Hobart three-piece who began playing their alternative-indie-pop-rock-electronic music in 2009. They released a self titled EP in 2009, and have an album planed for an early 2011 release.
Droplet formed in Hobart, Tasmania in the wake of the group Ocean who disbanded in 1993. Quickly establishing their indie-pop leanings but with a harder edge live, they were often likened to Lush, The Pixies, The Cranberries and My Bloody Valentine.
They recorded and released a cassette entitled "...as if..." to promising reviews in late 1993.
A year later, after singer/guitarist Lil Bresnehan, and guitarist/producer Matt Hills relocated to Melbourne establishing Happy Valley Studios, they were later joined by bassist Andy Roper (drummer Duncan Haig had left the band after the release of .

Song writing is a huge part of my life as it releases so much emotion and is actually so fun to do. I love it when the audience feels like a big wide ocean, and they're peacefully sitting there in silence. I love making people feel emotion through song and taking them with me through the journey. I enjoy taking on other peoples stories and creating something universal that other’s can relate to. I hope you get a kick out of my music the way I do !
TSOMM (for the abbreviation) are a synth bomb, the fallout being incredible tron-pop, beat driven glam-rock fronted by melody making, flesh and blood drones. With deep, rhythmic electric guitar hooks, crispy clean black and white outfits and more vocoders than you can poke an antenna at, these two take their audience on a journey that starts with a ramp and drives through the still clean disco to the fragmenting and decaying sounds of the future.

The Native Cats are a duo based in Hobart, Tasmania consisting of Julian Teakle (ex-Frustrations and Bad Luck Charms) on bass and Peter Escott on vocals. Both program backing music. The Native Cats frequently gig in Hobart and tour regularly to Melbourne. Escott's distinctive tenor and Teakle's punk credentials lend the band a musical distinctiveness that brought them to the attention of NME in March 2009 who singled them out as a band to keep an eye on.

The band formed in Hobart, Tasmania but then, soon after Bickford, Aulich, and Bailey in 1995 moved to Melbourne.They found their new lead singer, Merida Sussex, working in the St Kilda Public Library.
