THE FUCKWITS are a 4-piece 77-sounding punk rock band from Sheffield. They played their first gig 3 years ago with Lightyear and have since played with One Man Army, The Slits, The Rezillos, The Buzzcocks, The Damned, The Vibrators, 999, Ed Tudor-Pole, , Jesse James, Selfish Cunt, Dogs, Cazals, amongst others, throughout the UK.
There are four bands named Candidate: 1. Candidate is a currently active Brooklyn, NY based rock band, often described as Bends-era Radiohead making out with The Replacements. To date they have released one album, A New Life. Candidate's songs are catchy, poetic, passionate and concerned with heartbreak, heartache, survival and triumph. 2. Candidate are a folk-influenced indie band from the UK, comprising brothers Joel and Alex Morris, together with Ian Painter and Chris White. The band have released four albums on their own record label, Snowstorm, and are working on a fifth, Oxengate.
Bloody Phoenix is a grindcore project from Los Angeles, USA.
Formed in 2001, featuring ex-members of LA's cult grinders Excruciating Terror. Blood Phoenix takes up where ExTx left off - blistering straight forward old school grindcore ala early Napalm Death. Their 2007 release "War, Hate & Misery" marks a return to underground grindcore.
Freshly formed in Spring 2009, Circus Sands are a group of banjo-toting, ukulele strumming youths, the six-piece line up bringing together some brilliant musicians and all-round nice people. In fact, they're so nice that they're offering you their first single, 'Not This Time/The Life You Lead' for free download here. The single, by turns a a gentle ode to lost love and a raucous cossack romp, is a perfect sampler of the dynamically folk-tastic Circus Sands sound.
