Andy M Stewart

Born in Perthshire, Scotland, Andy grew up in a family noted for its fine traditional singing. He first drew the attention of the music world with his work as lead singer and instrumentalist for Silly Wizard, with whom he toured until their break-up in 1988. It was while Andy was in the Wizards that he gained much recognition for his beautiful interpretations of the traditional songs of Scotland and Ireland and also became known as a master of songwriting in the traditional style.

Super Extra Bonus Party

Super Extra Bonus Party are an indie-electronica band, formed in November 2005 and based in Dublin, Ireland. Their music takes in various different genres such as electronica, indie and hip hop. In April 2007, they released their debut album, Super Extra Bonus Party LP, leading the Irish music press to call it "the most inventive Irish album this decade" and "contender for Irish album of the year". Their debut album won the 'choice music prize' 2007.

Liz Carroll

Liz Carroll was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Irish immigrant parents from Limerick and Offaly Counties. She first picked up the fiddle as a young child. Inspired by her family and community, Liz honed her skills at the local Traditional Musicians Association. Since she was 18, when she astounded the Celtic music world by winning the Senior All-Ireland Championship, Liz Carroll and her fiddle have been amazing audiences around the globe. Her recordings and appearances on concert stages, television, and radio have established Liz as one of traditional music's most sought after performers.

The Minutes

Dublin trio The Minutes have gigged extensively in Ireland and the UK. Touring with the likes of Albert Hammond Jnr (The Strokes),The Pigeon Detectives, The Von Bondies & Supergrass. Previous singles include 'Black Keys' 'Harmonic' and 'Ukraine'. Ukraine helped the band establish themselves in the Dublin music scene thanks to heavy rotation on local indie stations. After a year long residency in 09' at Dublin live music staple Whelans, The Minutes developed a unique rock n' roll show to call their own.

The Dubliners

The Dubliners started off in O'Donoghue's pub in Dublin, Ireland in 1962 under the name of "the Ronnie Drew Folk Group". Then they were four, Ronnie Drew (vocals and guitar), Luke Kelly (vocals and 5-string banjo), Barney McKenna (tenor banjo, mandolin, melodeon and vocals) and Ciarán Bourke (vocals, guitar, tin whistle and harmonica). In 1963, they played at the Edinburgh festival where they met the head of Transatlantic Records, Nathan Joseph, for whom they started recording.

The Script

The Script are Danny O'Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power from Dublin, Ireland. After reaching 15 in the charts with debut single We Cry, their 2nd single The Man Who Can't Be Moved peaked at 2. Their debut album, The Script, was released on the 11th August, and went straight to number 1 on iTunes UK & Ireland. Their 3rd single Breakeven was released on the 10th of November 2008.

The Navigators

The Navigators is a Celtic band which formed in November 2000 and performs extensively within the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. They have so far released one CD, "Dance and Sing", and won the MIANL Award for Roots/Traditional Group of the Year in 2002.

Backwater

There are at least 3 bands with the name Backwater: (1) Backwater (Germany) Thrash Metal band formed in 1981 who released two full-length albums: "Revelation" (1984) and "Final Strike" (1986). Changed name to Tai Pan, releasing "Slow Death" (1995), and then changed their name again to X-Ray, under which they released "Dehumanized" (1996).
