Rick Reed

Born in 1957, Reed came to music by way of the visual arts. He had originally studied painting and creative design, but after being inspired in the mid-70's by early albums of groups such as Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze, he soon discovered a natural link between abstract art and abstract music. On moving to Austin in early 1980, he began making his own recordings of electronic sounds using cheap tape recorders and analog synthesizers.

**K

**k (pronounced 2 star K) was founded in 2005 by London/Paris native Mark Wagner during his time living in various Brooklyn warehouse spaces. Entirely recorded on 'real' or analog instruments, **k incorporates diverse and sometimes opposite influences in hazy electronic-psychedelic songs reminiscent of the early forays of Silver Apples, or the austere soul of the Jesus & Mary Chain. **k's first demo quickly gained the attention of Warp records in NYC.

TOE (uk)

TOE are an improvised noise/industrial trio from Ipswich, UK on Amnion Records (www.amnionrecords.tk). Unusual within the noise genre, the band use live drums to accompany ritualistic vocal chanting and live electronics in order to create dark, dreamlike atmospheres designed to challenge notions of acceptable music practice as much as to attempt to create consciousness expanding musical atmospheres. TOE are focused exclusively on sound and the experience of sound within a given moment, nothing else.

Rotkäppchen

Rotkäppchen is a German/English two-piece based in London, consisting of band members Annie O and Ian B. They play live electronic music combining laptop, synths and several technical devices with live drums (played by Anne – thus they could be described as something like the ‘Nu White Stripes’). Their sets are non-stop danceable bassy electro, consisting of their own songs as well as remixed mash-ups of popular samples - thus they're a mixture of live band and live DJs.
