A musician, circuit-bender and all-out live music nutter, hailing from Kernow and now based in the West Midlands. His sets are an orgy of customised electronic equipment, with circuit-bent kids’ dolls sitting alongside doctored loudspeakers, squealing guitars and a fun-at-all-costs mentality! Glatze is one of mr.underwood's projects...
Born in 1957, Reed came to music by way of the visual arts. He had originally studied painting and creative design, but after being inspired in the mid-70's by early albums of groups such as Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze, he soon discovered a natural link between abstract art and abstract music. On moving to Austin in early 1980, he began making his own recordings of electronic sounds using cheap tape recorders and analog synthesizers.
**k (pronounced 2 star K) was founded in 2005 by London/Paris native Mark Wagner during his time living in various Brooklyn warehouse spaces. Entirely recorded on 'real' or analog instruments, **k incorporates diverse and sometimes opposite influences in hazy electronic-psychedelic songs reminiscent of the early forays of Silver Apples, or the austere soul of the Jesus & Mary Chain. **k's first demo quickly gained the attention of Warp records in NYC.
