Shonky

Shonky, whose real name is Olivier Ducreux, was first introduced to the Parisian dance scene via Dan Ghenacia's infamous Sunday 'Kwality' Batofar parties. He studied mathematics for five years until he decided to become a full time producer and DJ - releasing his first track on Freak n'Chic in 2005 and fast becoming a key player in the revival of the underground scene in Paris.. He went on to release on Crosstown Rebels, mobilee, Substatic and Reposal in 2006, and in 2007 released 'Olympia' and 'Phantomas' on Freak n'Chic, whilst also remixing Danton Eeprom's 'All I can say' for the label.

Ken Hayakawa is not a self-explanatory name – if it was, it would be a pseudonym. Ken Hayakawa is Ken Hayakawa`s real name, pointing out a solid connection to Japan. Born in 1982 in Salzburg, city of Mozart, Ken spent a great deal of his childhood in his mother`s hometown (unfortunately, his knowledge of the Japanese language has faded away). Jeff McIlwain has been producing his visceral, melodic strain of abstract electronic music as Lusine for over 10 years now. Originally a Texas native, McIlwain met Shad Scott while living in LA and put out his self titled debut on Scott's imprint, Isophlux. He relocated to Seattle in late 2002 and began steadily releasing his music on Ghostly International. McIlwain has also contributed tracks to various compilations and remix releases on Mute, !K7, Kompakt, Asthmatic Kitty, and Shitkatapult.

Massi DL

The talented and very young Massimo Di Lena was born in Naples in 1988. He listens to all kind of music since he was a child, from Michael Jackson to Tupac, Oasis, Madonna. At the age of 12 he prematurely starts listening to electronic music and Plastikman’s productions (Richie Hawtin). At the age of 14 he decides to buy 2 cdj and a mixer to better interact with music and he starts playing hip-hop music accordingly with the trend of the time, even though the passion for this kind of music ends quickly whereas his interest for the techno increases.

From playing well received support shows including Canada’s Psycheand Sydney’s Lost Valentinos to wowing Sydneysiders at the Factory during September’s Under The Blue Moon festival, Schadenfreude’s rise rapidly continues.
