Furnace Mountain

Formed in 1992 as the Furnace Mountain Boys, this Virginia band plays old-style Appalachian folk and bluegrass music with new-style roots sensibilities. Their Shack Album, released on Frogville as Furnace Mountain with Aimee Curl, is a mix of original and traditional music with some Dylan and Yeats thrown in for fun. Furnace Mountain consists of Dave Van Deventer on Fiddle and Vocals, Morgan Morrison on Bouzouki and Vocals, Aimee Curl on Bass and Vocals, Danny Knicely on Mandolin, and includes transient members Zach Lester or Bodhran, and John Flower on Washtub.

Jack Scott

Jack Scott (Giovanni Sacfone Jr) was born January 24, 1936 in Windsor Ontario, Canada, and raised in Detroit, an Italian hillbilly who worshipped Hank Williams, and became a rock and roll star. His first album, entitled Jack Scott. One of the first album recorded in stereo, it contained a mixture of rockabilly and ballads of which 10 were Scott's own compositions. Recording for Carlton he came up with a rocking song about a friend in prison titled Leroy. The other side of the record was a sad ballad called My True Love.

Brad Paisley (born October 28, 1972) is an American country music singer and songwriter from Glen Dale, West Virginia. Brad Paisley has stated that his love of country music stems from his maternal grandfather, who gave Paisley his first guitar at age 8 and taught him how to play. At age 12, Paisley wrote his first song, and by 13 he was the opening act for country singers. Paisley graduated from John Marshall High School in Glen Dale and enrolled at Belmont University (from 1993 to 1995). While in college, he met Frank Rogers, a fellow student who went on to serve as his producer.
