The David Wax Museum

Tagged as "one of Boston's hottest new bands" by The Boston Globe, The David Wax Museum fuses exuberant Mexican roots music with rockin' country folk reminiscent of old school Jayhawks and early Wilco to create "Boston's homegrown answer to Calexico" (The Bostonist). They have toured with The Avett Brothers and have just completed their own six-week tour of the East Coast. Originally from Columbia, Missouri, the band is now based on Boston. Wax studied poetry and Latin American history at Harvard after spending two of his college years on a cattle ranch in California.

Wussy is a four-piece rock and roll band comprised of ex-Ass Ponys frontman Chuck Cleaver (guitar, vocals), Lisa Walker (guitar, vocals), Mark Messerly (bass, keyboards) and Joe Klug (drums). They formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in the early 2000's with original drummer Dawn Burman. Cleaver and Walker began playing together in 2001 as a result of Cleaver’s stage fright when asked to perform a brief run of solo shows. The duo’s first performance was largely unplanned and yet went without incident.. so they agreed to continue and expand.

The Low Anthem

The Low Anthem are a folk rock trio from Providence, Rhode Island, United States. They formed in 2003 and consist of multi-instrumentalists Ben Miller, Jeff Prystowsky and Jocie Adams. The Low Anthem formed as a contemporary folk duet from Providence, RI. Member's Ben Miller and Jeff Prystowsky met playing in the wood-bat leagues of rural Connecticut in 2003. They began a collaboration with classical composer Jocie Adams in November 2007.

Ha Ha Tonka

With a "Bible in one hand, broken bottle in the other" (Spin June '09) Ha Ha Tonka return with their sophomore effort on Bloodshot Records, Novel Sounds of the Nouveau South. The album takes listeners on a complex tour of the South—through lynchings and mob violence, sacrifice and reconciliation. It’s dense subject matter for any artist, but delivered beautifully on this record by these native sons of the Ozarks from Springfield, Missouri.
