Kane

As it happens there are 3 bands named Kane: One - KANE is a Dutch rock band from The Hague, formed in 1998. The two original members were Dinand Woesthoff (lead singer) and Dennis van Leeuwen (guitarist, vocals). They added drummer Martijn Bosman in 2002 after the former drummer had left the band. Their music can be described as soft guitar rock. Nowadays, they are one of the best selling bands in The Netherlands and, after The Golden Earring, one of the most successful rock bands in Dutch music history.

Kano

There is more than one artist with this name:
(1) A British hip-hopper and grime artist, and (2) an Italian dance music project. (3) A British techno-drum and bass DJ, producer, and label-owner. 1. In his early teens Kano attended Langdon Comprehensive School in East Ham, Newham, where his mother still works. Kano was a promising footballer, representing Chelsea F.C., Junior Hammers and Norwich City by the age of thirteen, but in the end he abandoned his sporting ambitions in favour of a musical career. His cousin Jerome Thomas plays for Charlton Athletic.

Karima Francis

Karima Francis is a young singer/songwriter from Blackpool, England. Nineteen years old, as of 2006, she is now based in Manchester, intending to study music. Originally a drummer also providing backing vocals for alternative/indie band Litterbug in her home town, she had only recently became a singer, and also plays the guitar. This change of direction has revealed a singer of enormous range and power who has been likened by some to a young Joan Armatrading, but who has a unique style of her own. This is coupled with a small number of lyrical and powerful self-written songs.

Karl Blau

Karl Blau is a musician based in Anacortes, Washington and member of the Knw-Yr-Own/K Records collective. He is very prolific and releases music through a monthly subscription service called Kelp Monthly. He has played in D+, Brothers Blau, Captain Fathom, Your Heart Breaks and has collaborated extensively with Phil Elverum (The Microphones/Mount Eerie). He also tours and records with Laura Veirs.

Kasabian

Kasabian is an alternative dance band from Leicester, England. The band consists of Tom Meighan (vocals), Sergio Pizzorno (guitar, synths, vocals), Christopher Edwards (bass), Ian Matthews (drums) and touring guitarist Jason Mehler. The band has been compared with the likes of Primal Scream, with their similar electronica-indie rock fusion and Oasis, with whom they share their confidence, vision, swagger and rough vocal style. It has been speculated that the name "Kasabian" is taken from the getaway driver (named Linda Kasabian) for the Tate murders committed by the Manson Family.

Kasha

Kasha is an English rap artist from Charlton, London, UK currently signed to, and part owner of, Vivid Imagery Records. Kasha has been labelled ‘the strongest lyricist in the UK’ by Kiss100, he has been likened to the lyrical intensity of Tupac and has been described as a breath of freshest air for Hip Hop. His style of rap is warm yet raw, emotional yet punky. He tells serious stories of his surroundings, the problems in the world and his dreams but he always has time to throw in some fun every once and a while.

KASMs

2007 Kasms are Rachel-Mary Callaghan, Gemma Fleet, Scott R Walker and Rory Brattwell, they make make melancholic yet frantic alt-punk and the singer has a habit of knocking over audience members and doing summersaults, how sweet. KASMs met in October 2007 when the four band members got into a drunken row at a cash point in Dalston, it didn't quite come to fisticuffs and details are vague and vary from person to person but it involved a bendy bus, a kebab and a pigeon.
They then randomly bumped into each other a week later at a Get Hustle show and put our differences aside.

Kasse Mady Diabate

Kasse Mady Diabate was born in Kéla, Mali in 1949. The Diabatés are one of the two biggest griots families. Their ancestor Morykaba Diabaté fought with Soundjata in the 13th century. Kela is the capital of the griots, the Mecca of musical tradition. All of his cousins, brothers, sisters, know how to sing without micro before thousands of people but Kassé Mady is different because of his sweet voice. He owes his fame in Mali to this gentle, though powerful voice.

Kat Flint

Kat Flint is the child of research scientists and the palest individual ever to be born in Barbados. She was raised in the chill northern climes of Aberdeen and came of age in Edinburgh, but is now hundreds of miles from home and finding that splendid isolation is all the better for writing songs. Debut release The Secret Boy’s Club is a love letter to the children we were, the adults we become and the places we make for ourselves in the world.
