The Rita is a Canadian harsh noise project that started in 1996. There are at least three artists represented here. 1.) Screwtape is the harsh noise project of Australia's Andrew McIntosh. 2.) Walter Gross and Bizzart form Screwtape. An experiment in lost and found sound and noises and samples of some of the weirdest and just most obscure shit I've ever heard. But one thing I've learned about Walter Gross and one thing I've trained myself to do, is to listen to the beats and melodies he hears in his head, and when you break down those walls that tell you what you're listening to is just noise, you'll hear it too.
Pain Jerk (Japanese; ????????) is a noise music unit run by Japanese musician Kohei Gomi. Pain Jerk was one of the more prolific and influential noise artists of the 1990s, and is one of the leading figures in the "dynamic" style of Japanese noise, alongside acts such as Merzbow and Kazumoto Endo. Gomi is also the owner of the noise label AMP, and a member, along with T. Mikawa and F. Kosakai of Incapacitants, of the noise supergroup Gomikawa Fumio.
Svartvit is a Dutch harsh noise project from Boxtel that was started in 2008 by sound artist Kevin Jansen. Through the years the project has evolved both in presentation and sound. Starting of as a very monotonous study in textural noises it has turned into a direct channeling of anger, frustration and the questioning of modern day society through sound & performance. Svartvit takes influences from a wide spectrum including but definitely not limited to; Vienna Aktionism, socio-political topics, underground punk music...
