Brute Force

1. Brute Force, aka Stephen Friedland, is a writer, performer and producer of such cult pop items as 'The King Of Fuh' (a banned single released on The Beatles' Apple label) and the 'Confections Of Love' (featuring 'Tapeworm Of Love', 'Jim's Garage', 'No Olympian Heights' and 'Brute's Party')- perhaps the greatest 'lost' album of them all and one of the greatest pop records of any stripe. Brute was a one time Brill Building songwriter and penned 'Nobody Knows What's Going On In My Mind But Me' for The Chiffons amongst others.

The Patriots

The Patriots were one of the best Beatlesque bands of the era. Originally they only had four songs officially released on the Bam Caruso split LP with the Chicaynes. But they also recorded a bunch of demos. Those six demos, including a cover of a Left Banke's "Let Go Of You Girl", show how much The Patriots were a promising act.

Joey Molland

Badfinger member Joey Molland's recording career began when he joined 'The Masterminds' who released a mid-60's single on The Rolling Stones' publicist Andrew Loog Oldham's Immediate label followed by a stint backing & writing for Gary Walker of The Walker Brothers from 1967-69. He joined up with Apple recording artists Badfinger and also played with George Harrison, as well as on John Lennon's Imagine.
