Light Parades are a four piece outfit, primarily based in Kingston Upon Thames, West London, UK. Made up of Daniel Hopkinson, Stephen Hopkinson, Jakub Tucholski and Oliver Pearce. Formed in mid-2011, the ambitious quartet headed into Rockfield Studio in Wales only four weeks after forming, to start recording their debut album, due for release later this year. Their debut ep 'Sparkle' was released on 15th February 2012.
There are no fewer than eight different artists with this name: 1) Parade's only agenda is to play music they love. Through a highly collaborative process, they create their own version of pop music: melodic and minimal, but classy and modern. They draw from influences as varied as Radiohead, Mark Kozelec, PJ Harvey, Gang of Four, Aphex Twin, and Nick Cave, though it is rare to find them listening to the same recordings at the same time.
Scarlett Parade is a duo hailing from the Isle of Man, the tiny island located in the Irish Sea between Liverpool and Belfast. Formed in early 2011, members Adam Jones and Geoffrey Tinkler, both 24, have a strong songwriting partnership that is designed to showcase their strengths, not only as songwriters, but multi-instrumentalists also. Friends for many years, Adam and Geoff were classmates throughout high school and performed in various bands throughout this time.
