Andy Grant

Andy Grant performs dynamic acoustic songs with infectious riffs, bluesy vocals and astounding guitar work. His live shows never fail to entertain whether as a solo performer on acoustic guitar, vocals and stompbox, or when fronting ‘The Andy Grant Trio’, backed by double bass and drums. Andy’s new release, ‘Hole in the Sky’ (2008), is an 11 track collection of original songs that celebrates the human state of being, questions the decisions made on our behalf and instils our hope for the future, all delivered in a raw, funky and inflective way.

Thepetebox

Not only is THePETEBOX one of the world's finest human Beatboxers, he has spent the past two years crafting a whole new approach to using his vocal dexterity to create music.

His performances are more similar to that of a full band as he builds each layer of his tracks live using a loop pedal to construct fully crafted songs before the amazed audience. They are taken on a journey of real time music production which builds up and delivers a full frequency spectrum of sound, from deep bass, to high pitched trumpets and multiple vocal harmonies - all made with his mouth!

This pioneering endeavour won THePETEBOX a Channel 4Talent Award, placing him alongside some of the country’s most promising creative and innovative individuals and adding to his earlier gained title as Radio 1 Beatboxing Champion.

Sketches

http://www.myspace.com/sketchesband 'Two strong vocals, badass drums and rhythmic breakdowns. 5 out of 5 for musical talent. (Willy Mason) 'Some of their stuff is urgent, groovy indie, some of it is rolling, big, tuneful but angry music, and some of it, creeping, atmospheric, almost soundscapey emotional indie. The singer's voice is really strong and has a lush tendency to go all high halfway through word, which makes something drop in my gut when I listen.' (Marsha Shandur, XFM London)
