Surkin

23 years old Surkin (born Benoit Heitz) comes from southern France but lives and works in Paris. He dropped out of art school four years ago and never looked back. Surkin got into dance music through Detroit ghettotech and started to dig deeper into club music history, focusing on Miami Bass, Chicago ghetto, and house music. Add a thick layer of glammed-up filtered house courtesy of French dons Daft Punk and local originators Jess & Crabbe and you’ve got the full Surkin mille-feuilles.

Para One

Para One is most known for a string of hard-hitting vinyl only tracks, but the "Beat Down" EP (2003) wasn't his first music venture. From an earlier digital hip hop/reggae era stem some vinyl, cassettes and cd releases on smaller labels such as Co2 Activity, Quality Streetz and N Records.
Moving on to colder and more electronic pastures, while seeking to infuse his music with more emotion, he started working with Paris's crunkest rap crew : TTC, joining them on their 2 lp's "Ceci n'est pas un disque" and the hit "Batards Sensibles" (Big Dada).

Artist Type:

Das Glow

Part of the 2006 new wave of Institubes artists, along with Surkin and Bobmo. Das Glow produces serious electronic music, which tends to represents Institubes' vision of minimal techno. His firt release, "Weiss Gaz EP", is absolutely insane.

Artist Type:

BoBmo

Very Institubes sound
Very from the 90's
Imagine that Surkin had a brother who used to steal all his brothers machines when he wasn't at home...that little guy is Bobmo! BOBMO is a young producer hailing from the hyperactive city of Paris via the even more hyper city of Bordeaux. While in high school, with no musical training, he launched a short-lived rap career, making beats on his Playstation (no, really!), spitting awkward tales of murder and woe.
