Their Hearts Were Full Of Spring

Their Hearts Were Full Of Spring are travellers and troubadours, waifs and wanderers who have had the good fortune of stumbling across each other one night at a ramshackle gin palace in south east London. United in apathy, they write wide-eyed indiepop songs that are tinged with a sense of melancholic wonder at a world that can hold such beauty and such despair all at once. Their first single, A Question of Trust, was self-released last year, to critical acclaim in the indie press.

Artist Type:

The Chemistry Experiment

With two albums to their name, this east midlands quintet's music encompasses genres as diverse as prog-rock, folktronica and disco against a backdrop of lush, orchestral pop and a pinch of Pulp's northern glamour. 'Strange, gargantuan rhythms, weird instrumentation and a singer who sounds like Kurt Wagner trapped beneath two feet of snow... as beautiful and crazy as The Arcade Fire' (NME)

Artist Type:

The Middle Ones

Hailing from the North but living in the East, the Middle Ones formed in their time as undergrads at UEA. Their sound is simple yet strong, with a wonderfully warm but textured character. On stage they charm with a modest sense of humour, honest lyrics and simple but pleasing use of cheap looking instruments that fit their lo-fi care-free musicality so well.
