Red Box

Red Box is a British pop group formed in the 1980s. The group was originally a five-piece band, and released its debut single "Chenko" on Cherry Red Records in 1983. Following this, the band slimmed down to a duo, Simon Toulson-Clarke and Julian Close, and took on a more synthpop direction. Their second single "Saskatchewan" (a cover of the Buffy Sainte-Marie song) brought them to the attention of WEA, who signed the duo.

Would Be Kings

"An ever so slightly sinister brand of rock that has been missing from the Glasgow scene for some time - imagine a cross between Mansun and Muse" - Dicelines Promotions Formed in January 2007 by former members of the now defunkt Glasgow "Space Rock" band StandbY, songwriter and lead guitarist Bobby Currie and drummer Will Welch, Would Be kings are a new band in their own right. Although they are holding on to some of the more pop/rock songs and ethics from the previous venture, Would Be Kings have put their own twist and are stamping their own brand onto them.
