She’s a 5ft-nothing-23-year-old-white girl from North Wales with ex-horse racing parents, who gets her kicks out of scratchy old vinyl, roaring vocals and battered old guitars... Cherry Lee Mewis is the real deal. She’s added her own fresh perspective to blues 'n' roots music with her album, ‘Little Girl Blue’, a mixture of 'forgotten', obscure blues tracks, adding a raw, unplugged feel teaming up with multi-faceted guitarist Max Milligan and producer and former Argent singer, John Verity.
Robes Of State was formed late 2006 by Jezza Bruce & Perry Batty. After trial periods with a bunch of instrumentalists, Dave Huds joined as the bands bassist October 2006. The band performed at over 40 pubs and clubs in North Wales over 4 years, in which time the band teamed up with singer Stuart Cross on multiple occasions and also worked with singer songwriter Tim Thackray. In 2010 the band added 2 new members. Hef Roberts & Matty Wafer. They expect to make their first L.P available this Fall.
