Sister Lovers

http://www.myspace.com/sisterloversmusic Sister Lovers, Cathal 'chad' Brady, Ciaran Grogan and Michael Slowey formed at the beginning of the summer '07 out of sheer boredom and a common love of French Avant Garde films of the 1950's. We play all original tunes, caught somewhere between Sonic Youth and The La's. Sister Lovers recorded a 5 track demo in September 07 (The songs you hear playing now!!). There are plans in place to record new material very soon.

The Staves

The Staves feature romantic yet impish lyrics, haunting vocal lines and virtuoso violin and cello performances. Inspired by composers ranging from Björk to Bach, The Staves whip up a lush and quirkily original concoction of string-heavy chamber music and melodious pop in service of a slightly arch sensibility. "Simple, yet intellectually challenging. Gloomy, yet beautiful. Artistically sophisticated, yet starkly presented...." (Indie-music.com)
