A mixture of forward-thinking alt.rock, ambient electronica and energetic post-hardcore. Formed in Summer 2011, Atlas : Empire began as vocalist/guitarist Steven Gillies (ex-The Ocean Fracture) and producer/multi-instrumentalist Jamie Sturt (OYD, A Coalescence Cascade, This Silent Forest). Steven and Jamie had worked together before in various projects, but never as the primary creative force. Taking ideas that Steven had been working on since the demise of his previous band and re-writing/developing them - in the space of a few weeks they had written a handful of songs...
