Sosumi formed in Lincoln, UK in 2005 when Chris Maisey and Darren O'Connell (formerly of Happy Motoring) recruited bassist Martin Walker to form a new band. Combining influences ranging from classic rock such as Status Quo and post rock contempories Reuben to more extreme metal such as Sikth and jazz band Cinematic Orchestra, Sosumi have set about moulding and developing their own sound, cherry picking those parts that fit best together.
