Single Release

Hello all,

My name is Ali and im the lead singer in a Bournemouth based Indie band 'Constellation'!

This week is the release of our first single 'Flower Song' in aid of a charity called 'Scotty's Little Soldiers' (SLS) and all money raised from downloads will be given to the charity.

SLS helps support the children of fallen British service personnel so please go to either itunes or amazon to down load this week. It's only 79p and will take all of a couple of minutes but the effort will help many!

Thanks
Ali

about sirpico

Sirpico was formed on the side line while other members continued working in cover bands. Singer songwriter Al and session musician Dan decided this was no good as our asperations were bigger than being just a covers band. As songwriting partners and merging their artistic differences the sound of Sirpico was formed. The earlier material was aired at national acoustic nights e.g Rock Garden, Barfly (Camden Town), NSMA (ULU College) and their hometown Bournemouth. Sirpico has been able to blend a mix of retro R&B and rough and ready British rock melodies. The talent of Sirpico has been conveyed through strong musicianship and the 3 D's (Dedication, Devotion and Determination).

XS TV - "Great music, find out where they are on and, go see them!"
DV8 Magazine - "Sirpico get the crowd really going!"
Pulse Radio - "Technically and musically brilliant!"
The Need Magazine - "Definitely one to watch!"
Bournemouth Echo - "A cult band in the making!"
Columbia Records, Emergenza - "This kind of music does well in TV adverts!"
Planet Sound - "(Everything She Had) You won't stop humming it, 7/10"

Tube & Gel in Bournemouth

It's been a long time since we've managed to get the four of us in the same room, let alone on the same stage and it really was a lot of fun. We just wanted to thank everyone who bought tickets for the show and who knows what 2011 might bring.

Happy New Year everyone and keep any eye out online as we're uploading the show footage and some tracks in January.

The Lads Night Out

I am at a point in my life where I still love to party but less frequently than before. The hangovers have got ever so more painful. The bars and music appear to have got so much crapper. Yet, tonight I will venture out on the lads Christmas night out. I say to myself that this year I will take it easy. That this year I really don't enjoy getting smashed like I used to. That this year I will drink water every couple of pints to stay hydrated. That this year I have finally grown up.

I think I have grown up. I love going for walks at the weekend. I appreciate trees, landscapes and can draw on inspiration from anywhere. I enjoy great food and cooking as opposed to being out on the lash. If I went snowboarding now I would take an early night so I am fresh for the days riding instead of just riding drunk with a headache and blurry vision all week long. I enjoy sites on holiday as much as theme parks...well nearly.

All the above is true. However for some reason, about 4 pints in tonight, I will forget all that. I will forget about the next day and everything I said. I will make a suggestion like lets get a round of shots for some energy. I will even probably be the one encouraging people to go to the shit club with the music I hate. Why will I do this? I don't know...............but it will be fun for a few hours, then bad for a couple of days and then it will be out my system for another year.

I'll let you know if this year I succeed.

2010 coming to an end

What a mad year it has been! I cannot believe how fast everything has come into play! Over the past few months I have met some amazing people, gigged at some brilliant venues and written some (what I hope to be) great songs.

I played my last gig before Christmas last night, and realised that I've been going back there to perform since the ago of 16!

I have a couple more gigs booked in until the end of the year, both of which I'm really looking forward to. Then we have the turn of the NY, and it all starts again.

There is a lot coming up for 2011, it's going to be a busy year so am looking forward to a couple of days off this week. I am getting my studio sorted at the moment but shall be back in there very soon recording 5 - 8 tracks that I've written, ready for an EP release in Spring!

Shall keep you up to date with everything new as of the NY, have a wonderful Christmas!
