WE START PARTYS definitely brought the party to Bournemouth on Thursday night, with their pop-punk, techno sound moving the crowd with their heavy beats and strong performance.
The 4 piece band from Bristol clearly lived up to their name. They started their set with a cover of ‘Holiday’ by Dizzee Rascal but brought a quirky unique sound to the song by adding beat downs, floor-moving drops and pop techno breaks, which then broke into their hit song ‘Seasons’. This twist clearly worked as the crowd went crazy, and lusted for more of their unique sound.
The only bad comment to say about their performance was the sound quality (which really isn’t their fault). The sound man must have been asleep throughout their set as the lead singer; BEN HAWTHORNE vocals couldn’t be clearly heard or enjoyed due to the poor microphone quality and overall venue sound. However BEN and the rest of the band clearly didn’t let this ruin the performance as they gave it their all, truly knowing how to work a crowd.
However after watching live videos of them online with a better microphone and venue sound their performance that night would have been excellent.
Overall I can’t wait to see them again, they seem like genuine friendly guys who just want to party and make fantastic music. They are definitely a band to watch out for!
