Slam Dunk Festival 2011- Summary

NOTICE : This is just my overall opinion/summary of Slam Dunk festival as a whole.
You can check out my reviews on the bands; WE ARE THE IN CROWD, A ROCKET TO THE MOON, NOT ADVISED, FRAMING HANLEY, MAYDAY PARADE, 30H!3, DEAF HAVANA, YASHIN, REEL BIG FISH, THE STARTING LINE and SUMMERLIN in separate mini blogs related to each artist individually thanks :D x

Slam Dunk was the hot number one spot to be seen at on this sunny bank holiday, which wasn’t surprising due to its year after year great line up of acts.

Straight away the atmosphere of Slam Dunk drew me in; the venue Hatfield University was modern and fresh. Everyone was laughing, drinking and partying with their friends whilst watching some awesome bands ..... Perfect way to spend a Sunday right?!. Overall the event was well organized, well sign posted and I was more than excited to go and watch some of my favorite bands perform.

Overall Slam Dunk festival was a great package, it was only £40, the venue was lovely (including the toilets!), the relaxed fun atmosphere was amazing and lastly the acts I saw exceeded my expectations.

However, what could be improved on? Only small complaints and changes including the option to camp to create a more original 'festival experience', some bigger bands as there were a high majority of unsigned acts. Lastly the queuing experience wasn’t great, it was poorly devised and there were no toilets surrounding the area which was a big problem for my sister as she was dying for the loo haha!.

All complaints done Slam Dunk was a Number 1 festival and I’m more than excited to see who will rock the stages next year!
