Marta Marrero (born May 18, 1969 in Whittier, California, USA), better known as Martika, is a Cuban-American pop singer. As a child she dabbled in acting making her film debut as one of the dancing orphans in the film version of "Annie". As a teen she would star as 'Gloria' on the syndicated children's variety show 'Kids Incorporated'. After outgrowing her role, Martika would turn her focus towards her first love, music.

Matteah Baim is a folk musician from New York, United States. She began writing music with Sierra Casady in 2005 for Metallic Falcons. After the band disbanded, she continued with a solo career in 2006, releasing her first solo album Death of the Sun in 2007. Matteah's music is described as disparate, haunted folk that roll over your senses like desert clouds. With the help of a few friends Jana Hunter, Devendra Banhart, and Rob Doran she has taken her palate of lonesome inky textures and blown it dry with a wanderer's spirit.

Jessie Malakouti began her career by joining the DIDC Hip Hop Dance Crew at age 12. She toured nationally with them, winning several awards including the 2003 Urban Jam National Scholarship. This opened the door for Malakouti to dance in music videos for major artists like Nick Cannon, and P!nk, and act in commercials for Verizon Wireless, and Powerade. In 2005 Malakouti formed the band 'Shut Up Stella' and signed a record deal with Epic Records, a division of Sony Music. Shut Up Stella recorded several songs, one of which ("Welcome to My Party") appeared in the 2008 film Baby Mama.

It's been only four years since Kiesza (pronounced Kye-za) wrote her first song on her mother's old guitar. "I knew that my mom had a guitar in storage in the house," she says. "My parents got divorced when I was 18 and I had a lot of emotions going on and I went searching for it. When I found it and started playing it, I wrote a song that first day.

Sheila E's uncle is Alejandro Escovedo, formerly with Delphine Neid's first-wave punk rock group The Nuns, Rank and File and The True Believers, followed by a solo career. The late Tito Puente was Escovedo's godfather. She is also niece to Javier Escovedo, founder of seminal San Diego punk act, The Zeros. Another uncle, Mario Escovedo, fronted long-running indie rockers, The Dragons. Escovedo is of Mexican, African American, and Creole heritage. Coke Escovedo was also her uncle.

Wynter Gordon (born Diana Gordon; August 25, 1985) is an American and . Wynter was born in New York and was brought up in a poverty stricken neighborhood in Queens. As the middle child of seven living in a two bedroom house with an abusive and largely absent father, her childhood was difficult. Wynter discovered her talent for singing and dance at an early age.
