Interpol's lead singer and guitarist Paul Banks released a solo album under the name Julian Plenti, and has written and performed under the Plenti moniker for several years, according to a source close to the situation. While the album was recorded recently, some of the songs were written more than ten years ago. He's done a lot of work with Niall Darcy, with whom there has been a long time mutual admiration.
Copacabana Club is an indie dance-rock band from Curitiba, Brazil, started by three guys (Rafa, Tile, and Alec) and two chicks (Caca and Claudia) in 2007. Vanessa Brown (b.1983), known professionally as V.V. Brown, is an English singer, musician, and songwriter. Brown was born on 24th October 1983 in Northampton. She is the eldest of six siblings and is of Caribbean parentage, her mother and father being Jamaican and Puerto Rican. She attended Overstone Park school near Northampton, which her parents own and work at. Brown learnt to play the piano, developed her singing, and took classical and jazz piano lessons at a musical arts school which she attended at the weekend.
