New Volunteer is a five-piece alternative rock band of multi-instrumentalists from Bournemouth. This band is the brainchild of Chris Mears, a singer/songwriter and a composer of music for film. The band draws on its diverse influences, such as Wilco, Radiohead, Neu! and Talk Talk to create an engaging and dynamic live show. They colour their songs with unusual sonic textures and noises, unique to the sound of New Volunteer.
