Looking Through Glass

Looking Through Glass are a 5 piece indie-pop band from Bournemouth. They were formed in the Summer of 2007, initially started by Dave Mein, the band members were found one by one and rehearsals took place from October of that year. LTG take their influences from 60's guitar bands in particular Love and the Kinks through to Teenage Fanclub and Trojan releases. Described by BhOne as "Ska-Tinged Indie Pop"

Looking Through Glass have built up a solid fanbase through extensive gigging of the south, including Mr Kyp's (Poole), The Hobbit (Southampton), Bull and Gate (Kentish Town, London) and the majority of Bournemouth's venues, as well as festival appearances including Boscombe Community Fair and Runway Festival

"For the summer vibe you can’t go wrong with Looking Through Glass" - Burt Burnell - Promoter of Boscombe Community Fair / Sploosh

Looking Through Glass released their debut EP "The Cycle Never Ends in late 2008. Since its release it has sold over 500 copies and has been played on Forest FM, Hope FM and Radio Solent. Forest FM made LTG their 'Breakthrough Artist of the Month' in September 2009 during which the EP received daily airplay. "What sets Looking Through Glass apart; is their distinctive trumpet sound" - Forest FM

"As this six-track ep highlights, their appeal is the simplicity of the songs, a perfect use of melody, and a lyrical content which paints colourful pictures of every day life." BhOne

Looking Through Glass are currently recording an album of new songs which is planned to be released in the Spring of 2011.
