The Usual Suspects is the name of a ska/punk/dub band from Leuven, Belgium.
"The Usual Suspects played their first show in December 2001. All members, also active in the Leuven squat scene, listen to different kinds of music and that’s where the mix they make comes from. Apparently, people liked it ‘cos requests to play came in and the band went on from there.
The Detroit Grand Pubahs are Dr. Toefinger (Andy Toth) and Paris the Black Fu (Mack Goudy, Jr.). Both are from detroit, Michigan, United States. They combine electro, hip hop, and booty-bass with a good dose of humour to create a unique sound. Both of the Pubahs started in music at an early age, with Andy starting to play drums in various local bands at 16. Vocalist Mack began Djing at a similar age having been influenced by Jeff Mills’ legendary radio mix shows.
Talla 2XLC (b. Andreas Tomalla, Germany) is a producer, musician, and DJ whose work has spanned from industrial music to trance music. Tomalla started as a DJ, founding in 1984 the Technoclub at Frankfurt's Dorian Gray club. He was also at the time involved with a band called Moskwa TV. Crab Smasher are a Newcastle, Australia based group of improvisational sound sharks crafting a frenzied hodgepodge of weirdo psychedelic noise rock and experimental pop delicious. The band formed in 2002 as a cheesy electronic novelty noise act and have since mutated through a number of confusing formations into the sellout rock-and-roll hydra that exists today. The Stanton Warriors have succeeded in not only bucking musical definition but have picked it up by the collar and kicked its ass. They've also done this in true underground warrior style as despite becoming the first breakbeat act ever to sign to a major label (warner, no less), they were required to, in their eyes, compromise their style for the sake of shifting units. As a result they refused to put out any releases and focused on the DJing whilst a new label was sought (V2).
