Burning Hearts

Le Futur Pompiste, which released one marvelous album in 2004, Your Stories and Your Thoughts, before the vagaries of adult life scattered them far and wide; and Cats On Fire, whose debut long-player, 2007's The Province Complains, captivated all who were lucky enough to hear it (among them the writers at superlative U.K. magazine The Word). It was inevitable that this pair of bands, whose music shares a poise and sophistication rarely heard anywhere, never mind within the modest environs of Finland, would find each other.

Kiddo

There are three artists with this name: (1) KiDDO sound like a musical ménage à trois between The Strokes, U2 and The Killers. More fun than a High School Musical Sing-along at a silent disco, these purveyors of riff-laden indie-pop are probably the sound of tomorrow… if the sound of tomorrow turns out to be riff-laden indie-pop. Which they reckon it will. “KiDDO have a fine line in maximum rock and roll, enough hooks to hang tonight’s huge curtains on and anthems that burrow into the brain” – NME

The Springfields

There are two artists named The Springfields. 1. The Springfields were a British pop-folk vocal trio in the early 1960s, who had success both in the UK, USA and Ireland, but are now best remembered as the launch pad for singer Dusty Springfield. The trio formed in 1960, when Mary "Dusty" O’Brien joined her brother Dion O'Brien and Tim Feild, who had been working as a duo,"The Kensington Squares". Dion became Tom Springfield, and Mary became Dusty Springfield. Feild was later replaced by Mike Hurst.
