Will Johnson is the frontman of both the alt-country bands Centro-matic and South San Gabriel. He played drums in the band Funland prior to these groups and has played solo throughout his career. He recently released an album with Magnolia Electric Co. frontman Jason Molina under the name Molina & Johnson. He is also the performing drummer for the band Monsters of Folk.
Arnold Dreyblatt (b. New York City, 1953) is an American composer and visual artist. He studied with Pauline Oliveros, La Monte Young, and Alvin Lucier and has been based in Berlin, Germany since 1984. His compositions are based on harmonics, and thus just intonation, played either through a bowing technique he developed for his modified bass, a children's piano he specially tuned, or conventional instruments.
Pedro the Lion was an indie rock band from Seattle, Washington, comprising David Bazan and TW Walsh. Because of the biblical references in many of their songs, Pedro the Lion were seen by some to be a Christian band, but they did not consider the band to be such. Pedro the Lion was formed by David Bazan in 1994 and released their debut EP Whole in April 1997. Grupo Fantasma is an eleven-piece latin funk orchestra from Austin, Texas. Formed in 2000 from the merger of two austin acts, The Blue Noise Band and The Blimp, the band emerged with a sold out show at the former Empanada Parlour in Austin. The band is best known for their exuberant live shows and their recent association with Prince and his 3121 Club in Las Vegas. The band has backed Prince on numerous occasions, including his performance on the ALMA Awards in 2007, and often perform at his afterparty jam sessions. The ensemble has sold more than 20,000 albums independently.
