The Tiger Lillies

The Tiger Lillies are a group led by the twisted and brilliant accordionist Martyn Jacques. With Adrian Huge on drums and firecrackers, and Adrian Stout on double bass, musical saw, and backup vocals, they make a striking trio, performing a marvellous blend of gypsy circus cabaret, traditional English vaudeville, and Weill-esque operattas with a dash of Brechtian stagecraft. Their songs' thematic content tends to focus on death, religion, circus life, seafaring creeps, pimps, prostitutes, rent boys, bestiality, drugs, and the seedier side of life.

Kristi Michele

Kristi Michele is like a rainbow comprised of all the colors left over from many a rainy day. British folk, Broadway show tunes, Brill-Building pop, gypsy jazz, cabaret, and psychedelia are each influences on her songs, sometimes gentle folk ditties accompanied by a plucked acoustic guitar, other times vocal melodies layered as sweetly as tiramisu and set to Ragtime piano. Whatever the package, her songs evoke a time gone by.

The Wooden Spoons

The wooden spoons introduce a fresh, contemporary, yet traditional approach of song-writing and arrangements, taking themselves a step back (or forward?) from the current suffocated market of the indie post-punk culture. These young, mischievous spoons strive into the mist of epic sea shanty sing-a-longs, distinctive musical progressions and preach even more decadent, sinister tales of humanity. Comprising of twin brothers Dan and Graeme as well as fellow musicians Rich and Joshua, their full band set up generally includes piano...
