Trio Mediaeval

Founded in Oslo in 1997, trio mediaeval has developed three distinct strands of repertoire: polyphonic medieval music from England and France, contemporary works and Norwegian medieval ballads and songs. The group's initial phase was inspired by intense periods of work at the Hilliard Summer Festival in England and Germany, and subsequently with Linda Hirst and John Potter. Trio mediaeval has given concerts and radio broadcasts throughout Europe, in the USA and Canada. The ensemble released its first CD on ECM Records in October 2001.

Ithaca

Around the late 60's/early 70's, this English - trio released four similar albums under four different band names: Alice Through The Looking Glass, TOMORROW COME SOME DAY, Agincourt and finally Ithaca. Ithaca's music is a combination of pastoral folk rock, psychedelia and progressive rock with gentle male/female vocal interplay. Their style is dreamy, very laid back and flows in a breezy, unassuming fashion. Lee Menelaus in particular, the female vocalist, projects a sweet (very sweet) serene tone yet not at all sappy.

Hinterland

There are two bands with the name Hinterland - a now defunct Irish duo who split up in the early 1990s, and a Canadian band which formed in the 2000s.
1) Since forming at the turn of the millennium, Hinterland has sought to stake out its own patch of sonic turf somewhere near the intersection of wall-of-guitars rock and whisper-soft ambience. Fronted by Michaela Galloway’s otherworldly vocals, the Vancouver band has earned its share of superlatives, with critics describing its music as "evocative", "atmospheric", and "irresistible".

Deupree is an accomplished sound artist whose recordings, rich with abstract atmospherics, have appeared on numerous record labels, and well as in site-specific installations at such institutions as the ICC (Tokyo, Japan) and the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media (Yamaguchi, Japan).
