Singer Johnny Rivera was born and raised in the bosom of a Puerto Rican family settled in New York's Bronx, and studied at Manhattan's Benjamin Franklin High School. After a temporary visit to Puerto Rico, the artist returned to New York, getting involved in the tropical music scene. Johnny Rivera's debut came in a compilation called Noche Caliente, singing "Terciopelo y Piedra," soon after he joined Grupo Fascinación and later Conjunto Clásico.

Desorden público (could also be spelled Desorden Publico) is a ska/rock band from Venezuela. The band's music mixes ska, latin rock, reggae and other more traditional latin styles. The group's lyrics are known for commenting on Venezuela's and Latin America's politics and society.
The band was born in 2003 with the name "Pegatina Sound System" after Ovidi i Adrià meet Rubén, who up to that moment was playing solo. They decided to throw forward the project, without knowing to where it would go. One year later they had more than 20 performances under their belts and were one of the most active groups in the Catalan market.
