Fania All Stars

The Fania All-Stars was an illustrious and widely distinguished musical ensemble established in 1968 by composer Johnny Pacheco as a showcase for the leading musicians and singers of the record label Fania Records, the leading salsa record company of the time. In 1964, Fania Records was founded in New York City by Jerry Masucci, an Italian-American lawyer with a love for Latin melodies, and Johnny Pacheco, a talented composer and bandleader born in the Dominican Republic. Jerry Masucci later bought out his partner Johnny Pacheco from Fania Entertainment Group Ltd.

Like Flying Saucer Attack and Deerhunter before them, they offer a bold and unique take on dream-like psychedelia. Merging the tribal grooves of Gang Gang Dance, the guitar noise of The Jesus and Mary Chain and the clinical electronics of Portishead, all filtered through the bands strong pop aesthetic.

Terranova

Terranova is used by two groups: one German, another from USA. 1. Terranova is a German band made up of current members Fetisch, Marco Meister and Kaos. They have previously went under the moniker Turntable Terranova on the Compost label and sometimes as Edition Terranova. Their music is a fusion of punk rock, electronic and trip hop. They currently reside in Berlin and perform DJ sets at the Berlin night club, Pogo Club.

Roberto Fonseca

Roberto Fonseca was born in City of Havana (Cuba) on the 29 of March of 1975 in a family of musical tradition. This young lady's man and talented pianista, composer, arreglista and professor of piano's inclination to music begun at age four with his interest in percussion instruments like the battery. At the age of eight years he begun to study piano in the school Guillermo Tomás where he graduates in the elementary level of basic piano. At age twelve he begun to be interested in pop music, afrocubana music and Jazz and at fourteen he did his first compositions of afrocuban jazz.

Alejandro Fernandez

Alejandro Fernandez (born April 24, 1971) is a popular Latin Grammy-winning Mexican singer nicknamed as "El Potrillo" ("The Little Colt") by the media and his fans. ] Alejandro originally specialized in traditional, earthy forms of Mexican folk and country music, such as mariachi and ranchera. However, his more recent work has focused on mainstream pop music. He is the son of Vicente Fernández, also a popular Mexican country singer.

Rodrigo y Gabriela

Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero are two fast-fingered, Dublin-based Mexicans with a unique sound created on acoustic guitars. Their music is difficult to define, straddling both world and rock and often imbued with timeless Hispano – classical influences. The fire in it comes from their life-long passion for metal music. In spring 2006, “Rodrigo y Gabriela,” beat both the Arctic Monkeys AND Johnny Cash to number one in the Irish charts. Both the artists and their third self–titled album have gone on to enjoy international success since its initial release in early 2006.
