(3) An American hip-hop group, composed of Carter and Taylor Whitelow.
POLYSICS is a Japanese new wave/synth pop/punk/rock band, hailing from Tokyo. The band started in 1997, but got their big break in 1998 at a concert in Tokyo. They create high energy music, fusing conventional guitar music, with synthesized and computer generated sound to create a unique mixture of punk and electro-pop. Their song lyrics often consist of Japanese, English, or just plain gibberish. The band has been noted for their extremely energetic live performances and their wild gimmicky outfits.
There are at least five artists with the name Purr: 1) Purr is an independent Japanese rock band that played fantastic music, but seems to have disappeared in December of 2001 after playing a show with other members of the LEE V CLEEF label. 2) Purr is an independent French rock band, but have ceased activity in 2001. They released 2 albums. 8otto (the "8" is not pronounced) is a four-member rock band hailing from Osaka, Japan. Originally formed by drummer/vocalist Maenosono Masaki and guitarist Ryo in 1999 as Sugar For A Dime, the band adopted their current name in 2004, and released their first album we do viberation in 2006. To date, all of their studio albums have been produced by Yoshioka Toshikazu (a.k.a. BohQun) who has also written many of their songs.

Anthem is a legendary Japanese heavy metal band founded in Tokyo during 1981 as a quartet of singer Toshihito Maeda, guitarist Akifumi Koyanagi, bass player 柴田直人 (Naoto Shibata) ("Ski") and drummer Takamasa Ohuchi. Koyanagi left in late 1983 to be replaced by Hiroya Fukada. In December 1984 vocalist Toshihito Maeda also left and Anthem drafted 坂本英三 (Eizo Sakamoto) for their debut eponymous album issued in July 1985 by Nexus and licensed to Europe via Roadrunner Records.
