The Faceless
The Faceless is a technical death metal band from Los Angeles who have astonished their live audiences with dizzying guitar work, lightning fast drumming and unmatched brutality. Formed by guitarist Michael Keene and bassist Brandon Giffin, the band quickly found the perfect mix of dedicated musicians to complete the line up. Drummer Brett Batdorf, having played a brief stint with Himsa and long time drummer of Los Angeles death metal band Tchildres, complimented the group perfectly and was added to the line up soon after.

Skyfire
Skyfire is a band from Sweden that has mixed the respective styles of power metal, black metal and death metal in their music. They were formed in the town of Höör, Sweden, in 1995. Thus far, two of the founding four members of the band have remained in the lineup: Andreas Edlund, Martin Hanner, Jonas Sjögren, and Tobias Björk. The main songwriters of Skyfire are Andreas and Martin, but alas, none of these four members had any singing talent. When they decided to record a demo, the band contacted Mattias Holgrem of Embracing who was found to be amicable to the idea.

Electro-dance-slide-didg-slide guitar-flute-drums. I just heard these guys live at the Newtown Festival, Sydney, for the first time ever this weekend. They came down from the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane, where the tropical heat has obviously had a good influence on them. Sometimes dreamy and slow, sometimes upfront crowdpleasing pumpers - these guys rock! With four studio albums, OKA shows a wide variety in their music. Absolutely mind blowing. OKA is also a pop group from Finland.

Fusing melody, symphony and technicality the band has created a unique sound that will satisfy those with a taste for experimental metal as well as melody and Symphony. A Pale Horse Named Death aka APHND is the brainchild of the following band members: Sal Abruscato was born in Brooklyn, NY Started playing drums at age 10. He is the co-founder of Type O Negative with Peter Steele and performed on Slow, Deep & Hard, Origin Of The Feces, Bloody Kisses and various best of and soundtracks. Sal is the drummer for Life Of Agony and performed on River Runs Red, Ugly, River Runs Again, Broken Valley. Additional projects include Supermassiv & My Mortality. He is now the singer, songwriter and guitarist for A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH.

City Falls
City Falls are a metalcore band from Bathurst, NSW. Forming as 'City Falls' in 2010 they released a demo in April 2010 'Broken Idols' recorded at Freefall Studios under the engineer Antonio Hannah. After continuing to play shows where possible throughout the HSC they are just finalising there EP and have uploaded a sampler of the track 'Chuckin' A Davie'. The EP is planned to be released mid Febraury 2011.

Medulla Nocte
Formed in 1992, a bunch of no hopers from rural England decided on trying to become the most intense band in the country. Forged on a diet of Slayer and the heavier end of the spectrum (bear in mind they were in Guns and Roses era then!) the band went through numerous changes before settling down to Paul on Vocals, Neil on Guitar, Bones on Bass and Jammer on drums. Relentless touring followed, playing every town, usually to nobody.

Otep
Otep is a nu metal band formed in 2000 in Los Angeles, California by Otep Shamaya. The band originally formed as a four-piece nu metal band and were invited to play Ozzfest before they had even signed to a label after Sharon Osbourne witnessed a brief part of their live performance. They've since played Ozzfest several times. Otep have since released five full-length albums featuring many session musicians including Greg Wells, Joey Jordison of Slipknot, Koichi Fukuda of Static-X, Emilie Autumn, Tony Campos of Soulfly and Asesino (ex-Static-X), and Ulrich Wild.
