A 90s alias of Jon Carter, for his breakbeat productions as opposed to the house flavoured Junior Cartier project. Inevitably lumped in with the "big beat" movement of the time, although their album Shoot the Boss had a dark mood and heavy dub influence that defied the "cheeky party antics" ethos of the genre.
Vlad
1)French black metal band which released two demos, "In the Mist" and "Yggdrasil" in 1993 and 1994, respectively. Later changed their name to the much better-known moniker of BLUT AUS NORD.

4) Incorrect tag for artist Vlad Kuryluk, who used this pseudonym on his "Muzyka relaksacyjna" album.

Nick Thayer
"That's a power drill", Nick responds, when questioned about a particular sound in one of his tracks. "It took me ages to tune it. I had to charge the thing and then drill thin air until the batteries ran out just the right amount." Never one to follow trends, Nick grew up on a steady diet of Queen and Peter Gabriel whilst still joining others moshing to Nirvana and Pearl Jam. Macking to Mark Morrison, whilst playing guitar in funk, punk or cock rock bands.
Face
(1) Face is a female singer from the UK, bringing luscious vocals to many broken beat/nu-jazz tracks, working with highly acclaimed producers like 4 Hero, Mondo Grosso and Domu. http://www.myspace.com/faceuk (2) Face is a nationally recognized all-vocal rock band bringing a new edge and attitude to the human voice. Using the full range of sounds that the voice can produce, including vocal percussion or “beat-box,” Face performs rock, pop, funk and upbeat jazz. Sub Focus
Nick Douwma a.k.a. Sub Focus came to the DnB scene from Liverpool, UK in 2004, and has already broken through with a number of popular tracks released in his first year including "Acid Test", and "X-Ray". Entirely self taught, he was noticed at first by 'Andy C', and in a matter of months, he went from being one of many wannabe producers to becoming a permanent fixture of the award winning 'Ram Records' family.
Rektchordz
Jamie Smithson aka Recktchordz has had an obsession with music and its culture since the age of 11. Growing up DJing through many different styles of music , at 21 Jamie has a lot more knowledge about the industry than you would think. Jamie quickly learnt the basics to launch himself into the world of production. A big step came when Jay discovered Breaks a new love for him to throw all his enthusiasm at.
Ed Rush & Optical
Both Ed Rush and Optical are the co-heads of a drum and bass record label called Virus Recordings, based in London, UK. Both have earned acclaim separately, with Optical engineering tracks on Goldie and Grooverider's albums and releasing some excellent solo tunes on the likes of Prototype, 31, and Metro. Ed Rush also has countless releases, notably on No U-Turn, where he and Nico first emphasized the dark era of drum and bass with the masterpiece album Torque, and Metalheadz, where he produced such classics as "The Raven" and "Locust".
