Now a dubstep producer with his sound tied to the deeper side of things, Asusu has moved from roots in hip hop and trip hop through to garage, dubstep and dub techno. Recently he has received radio play from various DJ's on Sub FM, Dubstep FM and Reload Radio, and DJs himself mainly in Bath and Bristol (Southwest UK). Kele Le Roc is a British-born R&B/Garage singer who released her debut album "Everybody's Somebody" in June 1999. Two singles were taken from the album, "Little Bit of Lovin'" and "My Love", both of which charted within the UK top ten. Despite the latter winning a MOBO award for "Best Single", Kele was dropped by her record label the day after the awards ceremony and is yet to secure another deal.
Beat scholar, party scientist, ragga maniac, and remixer of singers from M.I.A. to Gregory Isaacs, DJ C continues to spread his fiercely eclectic gospel of crunkment, mashstep, ragga-bounce, and grime-hall across the land. He's been pumping out a series of records on U.S., U.K., and Japanese labels including a remix of M.I.A.'s U.R.A.Q.T. for her Galang 05 single on XL Recordings, as well as singles for Shockout, Community Library, and his own Mashit imprint. The tunes have been killing club sound-systems and airwaves worldwide.
Garage Pressure is made up of Farj and Paul. They are dubstep and grime dj/producers, hosting the Garage Pressure Show on FBI Radio (94.5 FM in Sydney, Australia) and weekly podcast. They run Aquatic Lab, Australia's first dubstep label. Farj and Paul are dedicated to developing and promoting new sounds in the growing dubstep and grime scene. There are a number of producers who are known for being prolific; Roska, Cooly G, Benga to name a few, and now Gerry Read can be added to that list. The Cambridgeshire producer has only a handful of actual releases to his name, but a vault of hundreds. We can well imagine his hardrive straining from the sheer velocity of ideas that he sends our way. Raw, urgent and frequently off kilter, Gerry's production challenges your ears but always manages to lock in the groove.
Sunship is the brainchild of producer Ceri Evans.
The Sunship crew has grown over the last sixteen years, and now features essential crew members DJ Chunky bringing on board the DJ skills, along with James 'The Doctor' Dowbekin with his engineering skills and all round Mac Omnipotence! Sunship first appeared in 1991 with the breakbeat track 'Sunship' on the Acid Jazz label.Since then, there have been many twists and turns on the path over years.
Desto is a Helsinki-based electronic music artist and DJ. His music mainly draws from dubstep, hiphop, 2-step garage, jungle, computer games and 90's Warp label stuff. Since 2008 he has released 12" singles and EPs on labels such as Ramp Recordings, Noppa and Argon Records and gained support from DJs such as Blackdown (Rinse FM, Pitchfork, UK) and Oneman (Rinse FM, 502 Records, UK). Desto runs two dubstep nights, "Slam It!" and "Theory" in Helsinki with colleagues Dead-O and Tes La Rok and has a bi-weekly radio show on Finnish FM station Basso Radio with Tes La Rok.
