Thrash-metal band formed in Montreal, Canada by former Voivod singer Eric Forrest in 2001. After the release of their first album, Evil Forces, in 2003, Eric relocated to Toulouse, France and changed the line-up of his band. Eric Forrest also sings with Project: Failing Flesh.
There are at least three artists named Threnody. 1. A glitch and dubstep artist from Stafford. Stafford-based producer Threnody is one of the handful of new-breed dubstep producers exploring the dark hinterlands beyond beyond the genre’s margins, with a characteristic sound that’s deep, techy and brooding, supported by clued-up DJs across the board from Radio 1 (Mary Anne Hobbs), Reload FM, Sub FM and React FM.
Formed in the middle of the nineties the band settled on the current line up soon after their first demo, simply titled "Lipid". With the new line up the band recorded their second opus with renowned Danish Producer Jacob Hansen. The EP "God We Have Slain" won the band many friends in their home country and the international underground scene came soon after. The band were then offered a deal by US Metal Label Pavement (CROWBAR, MALEVOLENT CREATION, VADER etc) For a number of reasons things were not working out with the US company and the band began wrangling their way out of their contract...
There are two bands under this name; the Blackened Death Metal band from Austria, and the lesser known Black Metal band from The Netherlands. 1. Belphegor emerges as one of the most extreme line ups to ever come out of the blackened death metal scene. The band members themselves describe their hellride as "Supreme Death / Black Metal Art".
Formed in 1993 originally under the name Betrayer, the band became popular in the metal scene, their lyrical themes being nihilism, blasphemy and satanism.

Musical inspiration was bands like Autopsy, Beherit, VON, Masters Hammer, Sadistik Exekution, Carcass, Blasphemy and old Scandinavian death metal. At first AMOK consisted of Goatpromoter Lava (guitars/vocals) and Stanley (bass/drums).
After some months of rehearsing Mord joined and took over the drums. This made live performances possible.

Absu started in 1990 in Plano, TX (USA). Their musical style started with death metal but it soon evolved to black/thrash metal. Their lyrical content is mostly Celtic and Sumerian/Mesopotamian mythology. Proscriptor (vocals/drums) is, after the departure of both founding members Shaftiel (1991-2002) and Equitant Ifernain (1991-2002), the mastermind behind the band.
