Ufomammut

Inspired as much by the space-tinged acid rock of Kyuss and Monster Magnet as by progressive rock icons like Pink Floyd, Blue Cheer and early Black Sabbath, Tortona, Italy's UFOmammut was formed in 1999 by Urlo (bass/vocals), Poia (guitar/keyboards), Vita (drums) and Alien (synths). After releasing their well-received Godlike Snake debut in the year 2000, Ufomammut toured sporadically and contributed odd tracks to numerous compilations and tribute albums -- most notably the Blue Explosion tribute to Blue Cheer. After the recording sessions Alien (the synth player) left the band.

The Ovals

If the creation of a new star were audible, then we would sound like it. If one of those moments when life becomes conscious of itself had a song, then it would be ours. If getting lost in between the beats of a vast rolling groove was like floating through the orbits of the planets, then we would be your space vessel. So please, take off your shoes, sit down or move around, and let the music take you on a journey into Inner Space.

Dave Dixon

Dave Dixon has been writing stirring acoustic folk songs since the supple timid age of 14. He grew up in Weston-super-Mare but is now based in LDN. He likes the countryside and nature and animals and trees and mountains and outdoors and camping. He is not a hippie. With new songs and backing vocals he brings his evocative woodland sound to venues in/and/or around London. His main influences are other alt folk artists such as Bon Iver, Fionn Regan and Feist.
