Dave Weckl

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, January 8th, 1960, to a mother who loved music and a father who played the piano as a hobby, Dave started playing drums around the age of 8. During his high school years he received many awards from the NAJE (National Association of Jazz Educators) for his outstanding performances in his high school's competition winning jazz band, and was involved with numerous local groups from a very early age while studying with St.

Eve Risser

Eve has her musical roots in chamber music as a flutist and pianist. While residing in Alsace, France, she merged in to the contemporary and jazz/improvised music world. Eve’s multifaceted musical creativity has been heard in various settings and groups throughout Europe, USA and Japan. She has had the opportunity to play with interesting improvisers in a broad range of contexts, such as in theatre, dance, poetry, children, solo performances, contemporary and live soundtracks to films.

Alexander von Schlippenbach

Alexander von Schlippenbach (* 1938 in Berlin) is a German jazz pianist and composer.
Schlippenbach started to play piano from the age of 8 and went on to study composition at Cologne under Bernd Alois Zimmermann. While studying he started to play with Manfred Schoof. At the age of 28 he founded the Globe Unity Orchestra.
He produced various recordings and worked for German radio channels. He played with many essential players of the European free jazz community, most notably in the "Alexander von Schlippenbach Trio" with drummer Paul Lovens and saxophonist Evan Parker.

Ingrid Laubrock

Originally from Germany, Ingrid started having music lessons as young as 4 years old and began to play classical piano and sing
in local choirs from the age of eight. Her first recording experience dates from that time, singing the solo voice in an arrangement
for accapella choir on the town’s record. Throughout her childhood she performed in church choirs and public concerts at the local music school. In 1989 Ingrid left Germany for London where she took up the alto saxophone .

James Carter Organ Trio

James (Larry) Carter (born January 3, 1969) is an American jazz musician.

Carter was born in Detroit, Michigan and learned to play there before moving to New York City. He has been prominent as a performer and recording artist on the jazz scene since the mid-1990s, playing saxophones, flute, and bass clarinet. As a young man, he attended Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and was a member of the group Bird-Trane-Sco-Now.

Zespół został założony przez Wojtka Oleksiaka (dr) i Stefana Nowakowskiego (b) w 2008 r. Po kilku próbach, paru koncertach i przeglądach do składu dołączył Michał Załęski (k), a następnie Michał Przerwa – Tetmajer (g). W tymże naszpikowanym muzykami z Wydziału Jazzu na Bednarskiej w Warszawie składzie nagraliśmy swoje drugie demo – efekt do posłuchania powyżej. The band was formed by Wojtek (dr) and Stefan (b) in 2008.

Vandermark 5

Ken Vandermark formed his quintet, the VANDERMARK 5, during the spring of 1996. Since that time it has been a major outlet for compositional and improvisational ideas that have been fascinating its leader, whose thinking has been developed through years of work with groups like the NRG Ensemble, AALY, the Peter Brötzmann Chicago Tentet, Free Music Ensemble, School Days, Free Fall, the Territory Band, Powerhouse Sound, Frame Quartet, and the Resonance Ensemble- the members of which represent an international gallery of the cutting edge of contemporary music.

There are at least four groups named food: 1) The Norwegian-English quartet Food keeps refining the mostly Norwegian brand of mixing free-form modern jazz and warm electronica, in a much more subtle and transparent manner than found on other Norwegian contemporary releases by musicians like keyboard player Bugge Wesseltoft or trumpeter Nils Petter Molvaer. Their discography includes five LPs: "Food" (1999, Feral), "Organic & GM Food" (2001, Feral), "Veggie" (2002, Rune Grammofon), "Last Supper" (2004, Rune Grammofon) and their latest album "Molecular Gastronomy" (2007, Rune Grammofon).
