Korrontzi

The trikitixa (diatonic accordion), the alboka (double clarinet) and the mandolin characterize the particular sound of Korrontzi, a young group from the Basque Country. A musical set that is completed by percussion and bass. Korrontzi departing from the basque music tradition with their first album pay homage to the famous trikitilaris (accordion players) whose music still represents an integral part of the popular basque culture. Korrontzis stage performance can be described as both dynamic and modern creating a melodical and pulsative ambiance similar to the celtic music.

David Liebman

Dave Liebman (born on 4 September 1946, Brooklyn, New York) is an American saxophonist and flutist. Liebman is a New Yorker, and a History graduate from New York University. He learned both piano and saxophone as a boy but had no formal education. In the late sixties he worked with Pete La Roca, Chick Corea, Dave Holland and Steve Swallow, amongst others, before joining Elvin Jones's band. James "Blood" Ulmer (born February 2, 1942 in St. Matthews, South Carolina) is an American avant-garde and and . Ulmer's distinctive guitar sound has been described as "jagged" and "stinging." His singing has been called "raggedly soulful." Ulmer began his career playing with various ensembles, and first recorded with organist John Patton in 1969. After moving to New York in 1971, Ulmer played with Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers, Joe Henderson, Paul Bley, Rashied Ali and Larry Young.
