Inevitably lumped in with the "big beat" movement of the time, although their album Shoot the Boss had a dark mood and heavy dub influence that defied the "cheeky party antics" ethos of the genre.

Splintered Soul formed in 2006 was founded by Chris Frost, when he and his colleagues in a music shop wanted to start a band. Originally wanted to write Neo-Classical infused Metal, it ended up becoming Progressive/Symphonic Metal when Chris' musical background in writing for Film, TV and Computer Games influenced the music.

Isole is an epic doom metal band from Gävle, Sweden that is currently signed to napalm records.
Isole started up under the name Forlorn back in 1990 with two sole members Crister and Daniel. Some demo tapes were recorded under the 90's. Then the band went into hibernation a couple of years mostly because troubles with members quitting or living elsewhere. In 2003 record label I Hate Records contacted them and wanted to sign Forlorn, and we wanted a fresh start after the hibernation and changed name to Isole.
Secret Sphere are a power metal band from Alessandria, Italy. They are often compared to countrymen Rhapsody in their use of symphonic keyboards, ballads, and general feeling. However, the band's first CD, Mistress Of The Shadowlight, has a much rawer sound compared to Rhapsody. The band was formed in 1997 from the talented guitar player Aldo Lonobile and has released four full-lengths.
They released a fifth full-length cd in 2008 called Sweet Blood Theory.
