Tearing through the speakers like a swamp monster summoned from some dark cosmic morass, Texas riffmasters Wo Fat unapologetically blast out a southern fried, blues-infused version of Psychedelic Doom, conjuring up visions of hoodoo shacks, prowling undead, hell hounds at the crossroads, Lovecraftian cultists and ghouls, and worlds beyond where the riff reigns almighty. Wo Fat rose from the deep and began their psyche-doom-adelic quest circa 2003 when guitarist Kent Stump formed the band with drummer Michael Walter and bassist Tim Wilson.
Coffins are a Japanese death-doom metal band, formed in 1996 by guitarist and vocalist Uchino. Having gone through several lineup changes in the past, they now consist of Uchino, Ryo (drums) and Koreeda (bass). Their sound is influenced by old school '80s and '90s doom metal, death metal and thrash metal. After several demos they released their 1st full-length album "Mortuary In Darkness" in 2005.
1. French stoner/ hard rock/ hardcore band Denizen formed in south of France between Montpellier and Sète in 2003. After a first demo / EP and a first album, 'Far From Common Strategy' (2006) issued on the label Prototype Records, the group participates in a split tribute to Black Sabbath with the bands Illtemper and Stuntman. Denizen then appears on a compilation produced in collaboration by Prototype Records and the Temple of Noise fanzine which found among other Tantrum, Basement, Marvin or Year Of No Light.
Elephantine are a band from Trondheim, Norway, created around late 2007, and comprises Simon Nylund, Ørjan Langnes, Morten Telle, Tarjei Fiske Fjalestad and Gøran Gimsøy. The metal band is a musically harrowing image of how metal can, and perhaps should -sound like in 2011. We´re talking musical gravity in it´s purest form; Massive, guitar flooded heavy Rock. Witch Mountain is a stoner/doom metal band formed in Portland, OR in 1997 by Rob Wrong (Iommi Stubbs, ex-M99) and Nate Carson (Point Line Plane, Two Ton Boa, Sunn O))) collaborator, etc). In 2000 the demo "Homegrown Doom" was released in Europe, and Dave Hoopaugh (Iommi Stubbs, Coma Void, Towers) was brought to be the bass player. Debut album Come the Mountain was released in 2001, selling its first printing in 2 months. A period of hibernation went into effect at 2002, mostly for family reasons.The band reunited and started touring again in 2005.

They wanted to combine crushing riffs, with killer guitar solos and groove laden melodies. Released in January 2011, 'XII' is an immense slab of what XII Boar likes to call "Stoner Metal". It's available now as a free download and physical CD (available at gigs or on request).
The Gates Of Slumber is a doom metal band from Indianapolis, USA. They play old school style of doom metal in the traditions of Saint Vitus, Cirith Ungol, Candlemass and the likes. Their band name is taken from the Cianide song Gates of Slumber from the album A Descent Into Hell.
YOB was brought into being by vocalist / guitarist Mike Scheidt during the mid 90s. Previous to founding YOB, Scheidt had operated as a drummer with Hardcore acts chemikill and Dirty Sanchez and held down bass duties in H.C. MINDS. The original incarnation of YOB featured Scheidt alongside bassist Lowell Iles and drummer Greg Ocon. However, by the time of recording the 2001 album Elaborations of Carbon, YOB comprised Scheidt, bassist Isamu Satu, previously with death metal act Thrombus and former Lightweight drummer Gabe Morley.
