Roadside Poppies

Roadside Poppies are an indie pop band based in Copenhagen (DK) and Cambridge (UK) with members in both countries. Roadside Poppies were established in Cambridge, UK in 2005 by multi-instrumentalist and singer Matloob Qureshi as a one-man 'pop with tuneless singing' project, but the project quickly grew into a full band, and as they now had two songwriters, two lead singers and had added skillful keyboard- and guitar players. The indie pop ensemble managed to stray a small distance off the grassy verge of tunelessness and into a field of catchy and bass-driven guitar pop songs.

A Whisper in the Noise

A Whisper in the Noise is a musical project formed in 2002 by rock composer West Thordson. Centered in the Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota, United States Twin Cities metro, the group is known for their dark sound and unique instrumentation, as well as their effective live performances. Eschewing the more traditional use of guitar or heavy keyboards that might be associated with the band's umbral sound, the instrumentation of A Whisper in the Noise has included the cello, violin, French horn, synth/electronic keyboard, bass guitar, and percussion in some variation.

R Stevie Moore

Robert Steven Moore (born January 18, 1952) is a prolific singer and songwriter. Often referred to as the "father of DIY home recording", he has maintained a remarkably low profile throughout a career which began in the early-1970s, which has led to his work being classified as outsider music. He has historically released this music through the R. Stevie Moore Cassette Club, and more recently online and through various netlabels.

Expensive Looks

Expensive Looks, the pseudonym for New York-based psych-pop bedroom producer Alec Feld, meld tropical garage breaks, shimmering visceral chants, and disco-edged house to kick back to the displays of natural forces and days of unparalleled euphoric ecstasy. Akin to creations of early garage titans and wonders transfused with codeine-soaked acid jams, the smoothly ethereal yet grimy sounds reveal the inner-workings of towering, crashing polar shifts.
