The Wallflowers

Two bands have used the name "The Wallflowers":
1. An American rock band
2. A British indie rock band 1. The Wallflowers are a band which formed in 1989 in Los Angeles, California, United States. The band's only constant member has been singer/guitarist Jakob Dylan, the son of folk rock legend Bob Dylan. The Wallflowers have released five albums: "The Wallflowers" (1992), "Bringing Down the Horse" (1996), "Breach" (2000), "Red Letter Days" (2002) and "Rebel, Sweetheart" (2005).

Extreme

Extreme is a rock band consisting of singer/guitar virtuoso Nuno Bettencourt, singer/lyricist Gary Cherone, bassist/singer Pat Badger and drummer Kevin Figueiredo. The band first formed in 1985 in Boston with then drummer Paul Geary (who later got replaced by drummer Mike Mangini) until the band decided to go on an indefinite hiatus that ended up lasting more than 10 years (1996 - 2006). The band's influences range from the progressive hard rock and elaborate multi-vocals parts of Queen, the energy of Aerosmith and Van Halen, as well as Beatlesque pop and a Led Zeppelin organic feeling.

Klinik

[1] Belgian pioneers of and -. Also known as The Klinik. See also Dive, Sonar, Monolith. In 1985, Verhaeghen joined forces with two other bands, Absolute Body Control (with Dirk Ivens and Eric van Wonterghem), and "The Maniacs" (Sandy Nys) to form one "super group" Absolute Controlled Clinical Maniacs. This rather unwieldy name was soon dropped in favour of the shorter name "The Klinik". Nys soon left the band to form Hybryds, followed in 1987 by van Wonterghem, leaving The Klinik as the "classic" duo of Dirk Ivens and Marc Verhaeghen.

Robin S

Robin S. (born Robin Stone on April 27, 1962) is a singer-songwriter from Queens, New York, United States who scored success in the 1990s with such hit singles as "Show Me Love" (which was her debut single and a #1 Club hit) and "Luv 4 Luv." A house diva whose productions use live instrumentation just as much as electronics, Robin S. debuted with the Top Ten hit "Show Me Love." The Queens, NY native was signed by Big Beat Records in 1993, and debuted with the hot single, which climbed the charts during 1994, and spurred her first album, also titled Show Me Love.

Groove Chronicles

Groove Chronicles is an English UK garage project started in 1996 by DJ and producer Noodles (real name Steven Jude) with El-B (real name Lewis Beadle) as an engineer. They continued to work as a duo until late 1999, when El-B left for financial reasons and began a solo career. Noodles now works at Groove Chronicles alone. Many of the oldies on this list would probably tell you the band was often brilliant ("Somebody Up There Likes Me" is regarded by at least a few of us as one of the best indiepop albums ever made), but had their moments of poo-wallowing as well (1990's "Hooked" LP is surely one of the worst...
