HAEZER is an electro DJ that combines elements of punk, breakbeat, industrial music and glitch-ridden Electroclash. HAEZER originates from Cape Town, South Africa and has been producing his signature trash/electro sound since late 2008. He began his live career at Cape Towns mega dance club, THE ASSEMBLY, opening for visiting internationals such as Steve Aoki, Gtronic, Djedjotronic and Le Castle Vania.
Ron Nkomba is an acoustic folk artist who sings in both English and Chichewa, the national languages of Malawi. As well as his interpretations of traditional African folk songs, his compositions draw upon experiences and influences from both Europe and Africa which reflect his up-bringing. Nkomba is an impassioned performer whose songs provide insightful social and political commentary, from the current devastation of deforestation and the plight of women in Malawi, to present day UK politics and sea drenched love songs.
Thomas Mapfumo (born 1945 in Marondera, Zimbabwe) is a Zimbabwean musician known as "The Lion of Zimbabwe" for his immense popularity and for the political influence he wields through his music. Pre-Independence, his songs openly called for the violent overthrow of the government, with lyrics like "Mothers, send your sons to war." Since the white government didn't understand Shona, however, at first they didn't realize how radical the songs were.
