Hank Green

Hank Green (May 5, 1980) is one of the two founders of the video blog project Brotherhood 2.0 that inspired the community of cool nerds known as Nerdfighters. Hank wrote many of his songs for his Brotherhood 2.0 videos. He and Alan Lastufka co-own DFTBA Records, a label that signs successful YouTube-based musicians. After the split of the Southport based four piece, MeForYou, in 2005. Three of the members decided that they wanted to carry on making music, but take it in a slightly different direction. Jay Rowe, Phil Ball and Bear, made this decision half way through the recording of MeForYou's final Ep 'I Hope a Car Comes Crashing Through Your Wall'. Helping out with the recording was long time friend Gre Hale, who had also been in a number of Southport bands (e.g. Skirmish, ThirteenEve) and was really into the sound that the others wanted to achieve.

Jackson Jackson is a band playing hip hop, Afrobeat, and psychobilly. The band is made up of Harry James Angus of The Cat Empire (vocals and trumpet) and Jan Skubiszewski (producer, phrase, & composer). The two met in 2002, and started the band in 2006.

Youngblood Hawke

Youngblood Hawke is an indie rock band based in Los Angeles, California in 2011. History Both Simon Katz and Sam Martin were in the band Iglu & Hartly, but after a 2011 hiatus, the two reformed with three of their long-time friends to form Youngblood Hawke. Their name is taken from the Herman Wouk novel of the same name. In October 2011 before landing a record deal with Universal Republic, Youngblood had a residency at The Satellite in Los Angeles. Aside from that, the group has performed at SXSW, playing showcases such as Comedy Central Workaholics showcase and Purevolume House .
