Georgia Potter

Georgia is an advocate for music with a social conscience. An alert listener of music, politics and people, Georgia has developed a calling to use music for social awareness: as a public voice with a positive social conscience, as a politician without the tie or the hidden agenda, as a woman with a whole lot of love, and as a human being with a few stories to tell. Aided by her piano which doubles as a family heirloom, the bashed up Suzuki guitar she learnt on, and her glistening new classical semi-acoustic, Georgia writes most solo, however is currently working on some new projects.

Credit To The Nation

Fronted by MC Fusion, Credit to the Nation were one of the first commercial hip-hop acts producing a distinctively British sound, albeit with a hint of MC Fusion's Jamaican heritage. His lyrics often tackled weighty issues such as sexism, racism, homophobia and British politics, but went against the grain for many followers of in the UK at the time and lead to a great deal of antagonism.

Artist Type:

Djevara

Multi-ethnic, political alternative rock or punk metal band originally from London, England with a strong underground DIY ethos. They donate a fixed percentage of all sales profits to charity. The music is usually lazily described as "Rage against the Machine" meets "Fugazi", though Tool, Refused, At The Drive-In and Deftones are often mentioned as well. The band is more raw than most of these artists however, with a punk attitude that pervades the music...
