About Trickski
TRICKSKI:
Thursday night, half past 2 in the morning at the Weekend Club, Berlin’s current number one “Hot Spot”. A wild mixture of Chicago and Detroit tunes, almost forgotten dance anthems and upfront house stuff gets the crowd cookin’. Suddenly, Jack Migger jumps on stage and his Hip House Live Action puts the night on a whole new level. Unexpected things happen: hands in the air, groupies screaming and men shaking their rumps wildly! Sweat is running everywhere, even over the laptops of the boys of “Goldener Westen“ who are responsible for the crazy visuals.

Monolake

Monolake was formed in 1995 as the duo of Gerhard Behles and Robert Henke, although on later albums the group consisted of Henke alone, with Behles focusing his time on running the Ableton software company. Their sound can generally be described as minimal techno filled with nice touch of fine tech dub, although the 1999 Gobi. The Desert EP, which contains a single 37-minute atmospheric piece, is a notable exception. Monolake first released an album and several 12"s on Berlin's Chain Reaction label, then on Monolake/Imbalance Computer Music, which is operated by Robert Henke.

United States Of Mind

USM (United States of Mind) is a collective of diverse, yet like-minded individuals who have come together to advance today's stagnant hip-hop culture. The collective consists of five emcees (Asylum 7, Metasyons, Draztik, 5-Ill, & D. Allie) and two dj's/producers (Crate Digga & Sleepy Biggs). Flexing an array of musical styles and influences, this distinct batch of artists provides a fresh and innovative approach to the art form, merging new school lyricism with old school foundation and ethics forged in Detroit's blue-collar blood.

Artist Type:

DBX

First wave Detroit techno artist famous for early minimal sound combining elements of detroit with a stripped down and jacky sound more popular in Chicago at that time. Incredible crossover appeal on party tracks and stripped down minimal bleep techno, with crisp grainy claps that have made his sound and use of the RZ-1 drumbox unmistakable. Founder of Accelerate records, Seventh City Records, Seventh City distribution (and retail store on Gratiot Ave at one point), early collaborator with Richie Hawtin's Plus 8 records.

Joey Beltram

Joey Beltram (born 6 November 1971) is an American DJ and record producer, known best for the pioneering techno music recordings "Energy Flash" and "Mentasm". Though he has never belonged to any particular urban scene, he has nevertheless fascinated his audience through his musical independence. Nor can he as a “non-Manhattaner”, be counted as part of the New York scene: ”...with my productions I have to have my own sound”.

Alec Troniq

ALEC TRONIQ is the radar for electronic music. Even two decades ago, when synthetic waves captured the ears of a whole nation, his senses were already tuned to receive. Since these days his unwaning claim is to transform Techno and House into more than just club music. A claim which consequently fuels the autodidact to develop his tracks and live performances within a constantly expanding spectrum.
